John Donahoe has been president and CEO of eBay since January 2008, when he was named to succeed Meg Whitman. Between 2005 and 2008, he was president of eBay Marketplaces, which accounts for more than 70% of the company’s global revenue. Before joining eBay, he was worldwide managing director for Bain & Co. EBay is the Web’s largest marketplace, and also owns PayPal, the online payments provider.
